ANALYTICAL SYSTEMS: AGILENT TECHNOLOGIES INC.

Agilent Technologies Inc, formerly Hewlett-Packard Company (HP), has recently launched its new Agilent 1100 Series well-plate LC system for High-Throughput HPLC analysis.

The Agilent 1100 Series well-plate LC system comes with modules found in the HP 1100 series: Agilent 1100 Series binary pump, Agilent 1100 Series micro vacuum degasser,  Agilent 1100 Series diode-array detector, and the new Agilent 1100 Series well-plate autosampler and Agilent 1100 Series thermostatted column compartment modules.

The new Agilent 1100 Series well-plate autosampler module gives the flexibility to use up to 100 2-ml vials, 2 deep well or 2 384-well plates, or a combination of vials and plates simultaneously within the same unit.

Agilent Technologies has also available its Agilent 220 micro plate sampler for its Agilent 1100 Series well-plate LC system. The Agilent 220 micro plate sampler can accommodate up to 12 96- or 384-well plates (shallow or deep-well) to provide a high-throughput system capable to analyze up to over 4,600 samples in  unattended mode. The function of the Agilent 1100 thermostatted well-plate sampler module is to minimize solvent evaporation to maintain sample concentration and provide reproducible results.
