Varian Inc. provides NMR instrumentation for a broad range of analytical applications in drug discovery.

For high performance and maximum sensitivity Varian offers its Nano probe. This probe allows the analysis of small quantities of compounds in both solution phase and on a solid support. For more information on the Nano probe click here.

For combinatorial chemistry and high-throughput applications Varian has available its VAST system.

VAST system

The Versatile Automated Sample Transport, or VAST system, allows direct sample injection into the NMR system in high-throughput mode (up to 1000 samples a day) without having to use NMR tubes. This system is based on a Gilson 215 autosampler, a Varian NMR Flow probe, an NMR console, and a Sun workstation. The versatile platform of the Gilson 215 (bed) provides the flexibility of injecting samples from scintillation vials, septum capped vials or 96-well plates. Once a sample is delivered to the Flow NMR probe the user has the choice to either return the sample to its original vial or well, or to flush it to waste.
