REACTION BLOCKS: CHARYBDIS TECHNOLOGIES

Charybdis Technologies offers its line of reaction blocks for both solid-phase and solution-phase synthesis.

The Calypso NXT-75 reaction blocks. These reaction blocks come are teflon®-made and are available in 6-, 12-, 2-4, 48- and 96-well formats. The NXT-75 reaction blocks come with a standard microtiter plate footprint, accommodate removable and disposable frits, allow chemistries with corrosive chemicals, a special top for inert atmosphere reaction conditions, and cooling and heating (-40 °C to 150 °C). The complete system comes with the NXT-75 reaction blocks, chemical-resistant anodized aluminum frames (including a removable top and bottom), gas and vacuum manifolds.

(Note: The reaction frame assembly of the Calypso NXT-75 system can also accommodate Whatman-Polyfiltronic's MultiChem blocks.)

Multi-Temp reaction block

Charybdis Technologies also has available a line of reaction blocks denominated the Calypso Multi-Temp reaction block system. The Multi-Temp blocks are also teflon®-made containing glass-made reaction tubes in each well, and they are also available in 6-, 12-, 2-4, 48- and 96-well formats. These reaction blocks, as the NXT-5, allow solid phase chemistries with additional capabilities for solution phase chemistries as well. These blocks offer a wider range of temperatures (-80 °C to 180 °C) with a high degree of uniform heat distribution throughout the reaction block ( ± 0.1°C ) handling internal pressures up to 100 psi.

Charybdis has just redesigned the Calypso Multi-Temp reaction block system which now also allows the end user to completely service this system if desired.

Charybdis Technologies also offers a customized New Brunswick Scientific's Innova 2100 orbital shaker for up to 4 Calypso NXT-75 blocks.

In addition, Charybdis Technologies also offers a customized STEM Corporation's dry heating orbital shaker to accommodate up to 2 Calypso NXT-75 blocks.

Charybdis Technologies introduces its Valve Base Reaction Frame. This new frame, available in several formats (6-, 12-, 24-, 48-, and 96-well) and 100% compatible with the Calypso NXT-75 and Multi-Temp reaction blocks, operates on a turn-key based mechanism allowing the simultaneous opening of all the wells. This new item simplifies the manual handling process during library synthesis avoiding the "reaction block flipping" process to open the bottom for the filtration process. Charybdis Technologies introduces its Calypso Glass Collection System. This new system available in 6-, 12-, 24-, 48-, and 96-well formats accommodates individual glass vials for compound collection and storage.
