MICROREACTORS:
MIMOTOPES PTY. LTD.
Mimotopes
Pty. Ltd., a subsidiary of
Fisher
Scientific International Inc., offers
its SynPhase line of grafted products for solid phase
combinatorial chemistry:
The
SynPhase products come in 2 types: SynPhase Crowns
and SynPhase Lanterns.
 |
SynPhase
Crowns, named after their shape, were the first generation
of grafted products available with 3 different grafted surfaces
for solid phase combinatorial chemistry. |
The available
grafted surfaces are:
SynPhase-PS,
a PolyStyrene (PS) grafted surface crown is available with the following
loadings:
- O-Series
Crowns with a loading of 4 µmol.
- I-Series
Crowns with a loading of 18 µmol.
SynPhase-MD,
a Methacrylic acid/Dimethylacrylamide (MD) co-polymer grafted surface
is available with the following loadings:
- O-Series
Crowns with a loading of 1-2 µmol.
- I-Series
Crowns with a loading of 5-10 µmol.
SynPhase-HM,
a Hydroxyethyl Methacrylate (HM) grafted surface is available with
the following loadings:
- O-Series
Crowns with a loading of 1-2 µmol.
- I-Series
Crowns with a loading of 4-8 µmol.
The
SynPhase Crowns are also available with several handlers and
linkers. For more information on available handlers and linkers

here. For more information on the
SynPhase Crowns click

 |
The
new SynPhase Lanterns have a new symmetrical design
and an improved grafted surface and higher loadings. |
The SynPhase
Lanterns are available in 2 types:
- L-Series
Lanterns with a loading of 15 µmol.
- D-Series
Lanterns with a loading of 35 µmol.

Based
on radiofrequency tag technology both the Synphase
Crowns and Lanterns can be used in split-and-mix protocols
using Mimotopes' TranSort System. The TranSort
package consists of a central reader unit, antenna, power
supply, TranStems (radiofrequency tag holders)
and Transponders (radiofrequency tags), all necessary
cabling and connectors, and a Windows 95/NT-based program
to organize library synthesis via directed sort strategy.

here.
|

|
TranStems
are radiofrequency tag holders made of inert polypropylene-based
tubes that protect encapsulated glass-made Transponders,
the radiofrequency tags used for compound tracking. To increase
versatility and compatibility, the Transponders can
be used with both the SynPhase Lanterns and the recently-introduced
TranStems.

For
synthesis optimization Mimotopes has also available colored
plastic tags. These plastic tags include colored "Cogs"
and "Spindles" to be attached to Lanterns or to link 2 Lanterns
if needed. "Cogs" and "Spindles" are available in 8 different
colors. For more information click

|
The
Synphase Crowns and Lanterns when attached to TranStems
can be placed on a Stem holder for parallel cleavage
in racks of tubes. For more information click
here.
|

|
|

|
In
order to facilitate and expedite the Stem attachment process
Mimotopes offers the SynPhase Press to assemble simultaneously
96 Lanterns in an 8x12 array format. For more information
on the SynPhase Press click
here.
|
|
Also,
to facilitate the rapid, safe and simultaneous removal of
96 Stems or TranStems from Lanterns or I-Series
Crowns Mimotopes offers the Stem Recycler. For more
information click
here.
|

|
The Synphase
Crowns and Lanterns can be used with Mimotopes' Multipin synthesis
format for parallel 8x12 array synthesis and parallel cleavage. To
