WORKSTATIONS: METTLER-TOLEDO MYRIAD

Mettler-Toledo offers its Myriad Discoverer synthesizers prodcut line.


Mettler-Toledo has just launched its Myriad® Discoverer Synthesizer series: Discoverer 1000, 2000, 3000, and Discoverer Plus.


The Myriad® Discoverer 1000 Synthesizer consists of a workstation with a built-in liquid-handling system accommodating up to 24 x 10ml glass-made solid-phase vessels in 2 x 12-vessel racks for a total throughput of 24 compounds per run. It can also accommodate up to 17 ml solution phase vessels or 8x 50ml solid- phase vessels. This workstation handles up to 4 solvents, comes with cooling and heating bath, magnetic stirring, gas agitation, inerting, dropwise addition of reagents and handling of resin slurries. The Myriad® Discoverer 2000 Synthesizer is an upgrade from the Myriad® Discoverer 2000 Synthesizer. This unit comes with the Myriad® Discoverer 1000 Synthesizer's features with the addition of an automatically controlled heater/chiller (-20 °C to 150 °C). The Myriad® Discoverer 3000 Synthesizer comes with the features of the Myriad® Discoverer 1000 Synthesizer with the following capabilities: This system can accommodate up to 6 solvent reservoirs, and it comes with a more flexible automatically controlled heater/chiller (-60 °C to 150 °C).

Myriad® Discoverer 3000

The Myriad® Discoverer Plus for off-line synthesis is also available. This system is designed to increase the throughput of the Myriad Personal Synthesizer and can hold up to 4 x 12-vessel trays. It also provides magnetic stirring, the use of gases for inert atmosphere and gas agitation, and it allows heating up to 150 °C in each of the four independent trays.

 

Myriad ALLEX™

The Myriad ALLEX™ is a workstation for automated liquid-liquid extraction and work-up which incorporates a novel sensor mechanism enabling automated detection and separation of a wide range of liquid phases. Volume information is not required for processing any given mixture. "Messy" interface layers can be effectively handled and when the system detects an emulsion the user is alerted.

 

The Myriad® Core System is a high-throughput synthesis workstation. It can accommodate 4 batches of 4 x 12-vessel racks for a maximum throughput of 192 compounds per run. This system handles up to 6 solvents with low level sensing incorporated, it has cooling/heating capabilities (-60 °C to 150 °C). It can handle resin slurries and can perform reagent addition, reagent filtering, sampling and product removal. The system also has automated scheduling and simultaneous module operation capability.
