SPYDER INSTRUMENTS
Spyder
Instruments
offers its innovative line of COMPAS synthesizers.
The COMPAS 768 is based on a novel technique: The use of
9-degree tilted centrifugation for solvent removal. This technique
works with several variable-well-shape plates without cross-contamination
issues. The COMPAS 768 can accommodate up to 8 plates for a maximum
throughput of 768 compounds per run (768 compounds using 1 mg/well,
192 compounds using 25 mg/well). (Note: Spyder Inst. has slides
stating that 3072 compounds can be synthesized using 0.1 mg/well,
or 357,760 compounds using 0.5 mg/well).
This
systems comes with a 4-channel Multiprobe 104 liquid handler station
for solvent and resin handling, a needle washing station, a 96-channel
distribution station, reservoir for reagent, and inert atmosphere.
