For labs with sterilisation and sample heating applications requiring precision, flexibility and high operational safety the FIREBOY range of mobile Bunsen burners from INTEGRA Biosciences provide the perfect solution. The FIREBOY range are intrinsically much safer than traditional Bunsen burners having advanced temperature protection, flame monitor and alarm display features to protect the operator and operating environment. Gas ignition is both rapid and safe, with the FIREBOY range no lighter or matches are required. Easy-to-use the 'hands-free' FIREBOY range have no interfering cables or tubes. Operating from a gas cartridge and powered from a battery it can be used without mains power or access to a plumbed-in gas supply. The system has an infrared sensor that provides non-touch ignition of the gas supply when an object passes slowly through the sensor window at a distance of 6 to 8 centimetres. The introduction of a new FIREBOY gas cartridge safety stand that accommodates common larger gas cartridges including Camping Gaz CP 250 and other Butane (250 gram) cylinders provides a dramatic 5-15 fold improvement in economic gas usage. Ensuring that larger gas cartridges are always in the correct position, the safety stand adapter guarantees high safety operation free of problems. In use with the FIREBOY range of mobile bunsen burners the new gas cartridge safety stand is fully DVGW certified. Measuring only 70 x 90 x 180 mm the compact FIREBOY comes supplied with three nozzles providing optimal operation with propane / butane, natural gas or town gas.
