A
new technical datasheet from Porvair Sciences is now available detailing
their comprehensive range of high quality 96 and 384-well Assay
microplates.
For
routine adsorption, absorption, mixing and storage applications
the Standard range of 96-well plates offer the perfect mix of affordability
and high quality. Constructed from clear polystyrene or opaque polypropylene
and with a choice of three well types (flat-bottomed, round bottomed
and v-bottomed) an optimised Standard plate is always available.
Constructed
in high-grade polystyrene in white, black and black / white combination
formats the flat-bottomed Assay 96 family provide the ideal microplates
for fluorescence, luminescence and scintillation measurements. White
well plates provide maximum reflectivity optimising high sensitivity
light emitting luminescence assays. Black well plates provide the
all-absorbing background needed to minimise background interference
and eliminate well-to-well cross talk permitting the highest performance
fluorimetric assays. For cell growth applications tissue culture
treated Assay 96 plates are also available.
Moulded
to the highest tolerances and fully conformant to SBS guidelines
the High Assay 384 family of microplates provide the ideal plates
for high-throughput laboratories using fluorescence, luminescence,
scintillation or ELISA assays. Using a new proprietary manufacturing
technique High Assay 384 well plates offer market leading plate
flatness (± 0.10mm). This high manufacturing tolerance translates
into an overall increase in measurement precision and elimination
of misreads because the fluorescent imager is always focused on
the cells at the bottom of each well. Maintaining the footprint
of a standard 96-well plate, High Assay 384-well plates are fully
compatible with almost all plate readers, robotic sample processors,
& liquid handling systems.
Storage
384 plates are a new polypropylene microplate optimised to provide
a cost effective medium for low temperature sample storage in a
convenient 384-well format.
Accommadating
384 alphanumerically labelled wells in a high precision microplate
enables samples to be stored and easily traced. Constructed from
medical grade polyproylene the new 384-well sample storage plates
provide high solvent resistance minimising leachates and ensuring
long term sample integrity. A novel `V` bottomed well design provides
both high sample capacity and allows sipping probes easy access
to all the liquid contents.
