Scitegic releases Pipeline Pilot V3.0 for enterprise use.

SAN DIEGO, CA, April 28, 2003 – SciTegic®, Inc. today announced the release of Pipeline Pilot™ version 3.0 for drug discovery informatics research. This novel software system allows researchers to define and automate complex analysis and processing operations on extremely large data sets in real time. Data Pipelining provides a fundamentally new avenue in computation and has applications across cheminformatics, bioinformatics, and
automated assay data analyses.

The new software release provides enhancements that are directly related to the growing enterprise deployment the product is seeing with customers. A new administrator console provides access and control for all the jobs executing on a Pipeline Pilot server. Automatic updating of sub-protocol components in all end-user protocols now occurs when the new “Shortcuts” feature is used. Version 3.0 also includes enhancements to the user interface that make the composition of new computing protocols more convenient and intuitive.

In addition, great scientific progress has been captured in the Chemistry Collection of the new release, including LogD and pKa calculators, tautomer manipulation, and additional reaction enumeration capabilities. The Chemistry collection has also benefited from our new relationship with MDL(R), and contains new faster components for reading data from their ISIS(TM) databases.
