A
new 16-page newsletter, produced by Tecan (Northern Europe), has
been introduced to provide researchers with a broad overview of
innovations in laboratory automation and to showcase new technologies
and applications in proteomics, genomics, diagnostics and drug discovery.
A
key aim for each issue of the Tecan Journal is to include customer
articles from around the world covering a wide range of new applications
and groundbreaking areas of research. Highlighted in the first issue
are customer articles including 'a reverse genetics method for functional
genomics', 'a tailored solution for automated plasmid extraction',
'a fully automated sample preparation for quantitative high throughput
PCR', 'a fully automated selective retesting method for invalid
blood screening' and 'higher consumer safety through automated salmonella
testing'.
The
inaugural 'Northern European' edition of the Tecan Journal in addition
profiles a new multifunctional detection system for measurement
of Fluorescence lifetime in microplates and a free flow electrophoresis
(FFE) system that provides highly productive matrix-free separation
and fractionation of proteins.
