Visitors
to the inaugural Lab Automation Europe at Olympia (London, UK) in
November will have the chance to see the latest developments in
high-throughput solvent removal technology within the new Model
HT-24 system from Genevac Ltd.
Compact
in design and offering a very high capacity for a wide range of
sample formats including microplates, tubes, vials, fraction collector
racks and Genevac's new hybrid blocks the HT-24 offers the versatility
and productivity to assist chemists in a high-throughput drug discovery
and purification.
Using
the HT-24 chemists will, for the first time, be able to evaporate
two different solvents simultaneously, significantly speeding drying
in busy HPLC and central purification laboratories. The high-throughput
design of the HT-24 allows up to 96 shallow-well microplates to
be dried down at the same time, whilst capacity for standard 16
x 100mm fraction collector tubes is an outstanding 576 tubes per
run.
A
high efficiency pump together with a new compound condenser design
housed beneath the evaporator chambers means that an HT-24 can be
placed into a walk-in fume hood with ease.
Genevac Ltd. belongs to the Apogent Technologies Group of companies.
