Porvair
Sciences Ltd., in conjunction with US partner LabNet International
Inc., has announced its presence at the 9th Annual Society for Biomolecular
Screening (SBS) meeting in Portland, Or, USA (21-25 September 2003)
with the latest additions to its portfolio of speciality microplates
and microplate technology for biomolecular screening.
At
SBS, Porvair Sciences will be showing for the first time in North
America the new p3 a novel microplate that eliminates the sample
breakthrough and waste associated with leakages from traditional
protein precipitation plates. The p3 allows 96 samples to be processed
in one batch giving significantly improved productivity versus traditional
methodologies. The novel design of the p3 is readily integrated
into automated systems offering the possibility of further throughput
gains. The protocol used by the plate is little changed from the
familiar protein precipitation method.
Also
premiering to the North American market will be the highly affordable
MiniVap microplate solvent evaporator. Technical specialists will
be on hand to demonstrate and discuss how laboratories can benefit
from the compact and easy-to-use 96-well solvent evaporator.
Also
on display will be Porvair's comprehensive range of Krystal™ clear-bottomed
microplates. With a choice of designs and formats including 24-,
96- and 384-well, an optimised Krystal plate is now available to
suit almost all photometric and cell counting applications.
