ESA
has announced a new applications note that describes and illustrates
how coulometric array detection can provide valuable additional
complimentary capabilities to researchers using MS or LC/MS systems.
Today,
Bioanalytical groups are under pressure to provide quick, and accurate
assessments of an ever-increasing number of samples. Such analyses
can be complicated by inherent properties of different compounds
that make them difficult to ionise for detection by MS, or may be
difficult to visualise due to ion suppression effects.
The
application note demonstrates how ESA CoulArray electrochemical
systems have been used to oxidise or otherwise react 'problem' compounds
to enable them to be seen in an MS system. In addition, by using
some of the unique properties of the CoulArray system, the note
illustrates how it is possible to mitigate the ion suppression effects
of some compounds.
Simple-to
operate and control the CoulArray is easily integrated with almost
any Bioanalytical MS system. Fully compatible with high throughput
operation the CoulArray system requires minimal maintenance to provide
continuous, repeatable high performance.
