Viscotek,
the leader in multiple detector characterisation of polymers and
proteins, have recently expanded their specialist technical support
team with staff appointments in their German, French and UK offices.
The
new appointments have included Bernd Tartsch in Germany, Dr Philippe
Lievens providing additional support for France and the Benelux
region and Dr Sukhvinder Chohan, who joins the UK head office. Bernd
Tartsch has recently completed his PhD studies at the University
of Ulm and joins the Viscotek team as a Technical Sales Specialist.
His polymer chemistry and GPC background will enable him to assist
customers both before and after sale. Dr Philippe Lievens is an
experienced technical support chemist. He will be working from the
European Technical Centre in The Netherlands and as a fluent French
speaker he will provide support to the Viscotek French office. Dr
Sukhvinder Chohan, will be working with the technical sales team
in the UK. She obtained her PhD from Aston University and has worked
previously for Viscotek Corporation in the USA.
The
newly appointed Viscotek staff members will assist the established
team in helping the growing base of chemical, pharmaceutical and
biotech customers to characterise polymers, proteins and biopolymer
samples previously deemed as intractable.
Talking
about the appointments Paul Clarke (MD, Viscotek Europe) commented
'investing in experienced and knowledgeable staff, fluent in a range
of European languages, enables us to provide an unmatched level
of service to customers across Europe'. He added 'with the introduction
of the GPCmax, OmniSec software and the Low Angle Light Scattering
(LALS) detector for the market leading Triple Detector Array, 2003
was another strong year for Viscotek Europe'. With informed technical
staff in their UK, Benelux, German, and French offices, European
sales now represents a large part of Viscotek's global turnover.
