Exhibiting at the recent Miptec 2005 conference, Porvair Sciences Ltd. - a leading supplier of applications focused microplate technology, presented its latest innovative products for high throughput screening and laboratory automation.
At this important international meeting considerable interest was shown in the TriSealÔ - an automated plate sealer that can produce an accurate and tight seal on any SBS proposed standard plate from 15 to 45mm in height. Incorporating a unique turntable design, which allows simultaneous loading, unloading and sealing, the TriSealÔ achieves an average rate of 12 plates per minute. A plate sealing productivity double the rate of competing machines. The show marked the European debut of a range of adhesive and thermal sealing films and foils. The new range of highly affordable Porvair sealing films and foils offer a convenient and effective method for sealing 24-, 48-, 96-, 384- and 1536-well microplates. Sealing a microplate minimises evaporation and provides protection for samples during assay, storage, and shipment. Other products that drew particular attention on the well-visited stand included the company's comprehensive deep well plate range and recently introduced low-volume 384-well microplates.
